I disagree. It was no great artistic triumph but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Saw it in the theater-twice. I thought the FX were fine.

To each his own, I suppose. My wife loved it.

Maybe I was a little harsh. It was a $2.49 special and worth every penny. Not a penny more though. I guess I like my disaster flicks a little darker.

My wife likes happy endings where everything is nicely tied up. I couldn't help thinking, "OK, now that the entire west coast is obliterated, what comes next? Chaos, anarchy and total economic collapse. That's what!"
