Ted Cruz Just Responded To George Bush’s Attack In A Way That No One Saw Coming
western journalism ^ | October 21, 2015 | B. Christopher Agee

According to attendees at a recent fundraiser, George W. Bush is no fan of a fellow Texan currently competing against his brother in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.

“I just don’t like the guy,” Bush reportedly said of Sen. Ted Cruz.

Despite working on Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign, some speculate Cruz angered Bush by becoming too cozy with GOP front-runner – and frequent Jeb Bush critic – Donald Trump.

Cruz has also made an effort to distance himself from George W. Bush’s policies, offering some criticism of his administration during a recent interview.

“It’s not a good thing for a Republican president to grow the national debt from $5 trillion to $10 trillion,” he said, citing such spending as the impetus for the tea party’s formation.

Regarding Bush’s reported comment at his expense, however, Cruz chose to remain gracious instead of escalating the situation. “I have great respect for George W. Bush,” he said, “and was proud to work on his 2000 campaign and in his administration.”

He concluded that it is “no surprise that President Bush is supporting his brother and attacking the candidates he believes pose a threat to his campaign,” though he made it clear he does not intend to respond in kind.

“I met my wife Heidi working on his campaign,” Cruz said, “and so I will always be grateful to him.”

“Name your Conservative Candidate”. Haven’t decided on one yet. So far I am not convinced any of them is a True Conservative, with the possible exception of Huckabee and he doesn’t stand a chance.

” Intelligence, strategy, courage and integrity get the job done. One can get the job done without being a bully.”

Not when the other side has a arsenal of media weapons and 24 hours a day worth of ink, with no fear of using it.

I hope people on FR quickly read up on political warfare and stop with this effete praise of “class” and supposedly “showing Christian values” by turning the other cheek, as if this is going to defeat the left in 2016.

At the rate things are going here, anyone with a pot to piss in stands to lose everything.

I think that could be his sole motivation.

Selfish?

Opportunist?

Maybe.

But if he can put a stop to the madness all of us will benefit.

Are you kidding me? Ruth GInsberg is on her last leg - and that other old guy - can’t think of his name is getting up there too. I expect there will be 2 open seats in the near future. We sure as heck don’t need a liberal president nominating for those positions.

You know, I guess I should be shocked that you would try to minimize this, but considering...I’m really not.

Rape. Murder. And...jaywalking.

You’re ill.

Heidi Cruz works for the Bilderbergers and moonlights for the Illuminati. She also does fill-in hosting duties at the Bohemian Grove.

Be very, very afraid of her. She is a sinister woman.

Heidi Cruz wrote a paper in which she called for the merger of the US with Mexico and Canada like the EU.

You can read it right here: http://www.cfr.org/canada/building-north-american-community/p8102

Ted needs to be asked if he shares his wife’s beliefs and if not, why not.

Cruz has class. Also he’s very canny. He’s the one we need.

Agreed. Agreed again. Yes, he's the one we want. But Trump is the one we need.

I see you’ve been saying that Cruz supporters are GOPe.

Considering that Cruz is a solid Constitutional conservative, how do you figure that? What’s your reasoning?

No I don’t believe that everyone is. He is friendly with them as is his wife. On immigration, I don’t think Ted can be trusted.

I think there are a lot of people who support Cruz in good faith. Others, like the financial services industry, are looking out for #1 instead of the country.

As far as I’m concerned W gave us DHS and TSA and that’s what he should be remembered for.

Yep. I voted for him with enthusiasm -- I wasn't voting "against" Gore, I was voting for a guy I thought understood the value of smaller government. I wanted him to win! Then he gets in, fails to defend against campaign finance reform, fails to make moves to cut government, and at the first excuse, expands government so exponentially that it has virtually destroyed commercial air travel. There was a time -- and should still be a time -- when you could be scooting into the airport 10 minutes before departure and still make it on board.

Air travel used to be fun. Now it is a major PIA and a grievous insult to each traveler's simple human dignity.

My hackles absolutely raise and I see red when I see honorable U.S. veterans being frisked by thugs -- legally -- in American airports, where they are required to spend nearly as much time waiting as they do travelling. That happened on Dubya's watch because he was weak.

The only guy on the political radar who broadcasts "better lives through less government" is Ted Cruz. All others are saying "better lives through better government" -- exactly the path Dubya chose and that has resulted in so much added tyranny.

Good point. As Pres he could appoint more justices, as opposed to being a single justice himself on the court. So the potential additions to the SC are higher with Cruz in the WH than on the SC itself.
