Illegal Immigration: 3 reasons to watch Full Measure Sunday

The news media is full of stories about deserving illegal immigrants who come to the U.S. and are law-abiding contributors to society. But there’s a flip side to illegal immigration and it’s not well covered in the news media: tens of thousands of illegal immigrants committing serious crimes – including murdering American citizens – on U.S. soil, and then released to commit more. That’s one of the big reasons to watch “Full Measure” this Sunday.

You’ll be shocked to hear how many illegal immigrants commit serious felonies in the U.S. and then go on to commit more crimes, including murder. We have the numbers as well as interviews with victims’ families. We’ll have the latest troubling news on Obamacare: a top analyst believes it may be going down the tubes. Why are thousands of families still homeless three years and $60 billion tax dollars after Super Storm Sandy?

Deserving? Of what? They broke the law and invaded our country. The only thing that they deserve is deportation - all of them.

Thanks. We actually have lots of data on criminal alien crime. See Criminal Alien Statistics: Information on Incarcerations, Arrests, and Costs GAO-11-187: Published: Mar 24, 2011. Publicly Released: Apr 21, 2011

The number of criminal aliens in federal prisons in fiscal year 2010 was about 55,000, and the number of SCAAP criminal alien incarcerations in state prison systems and local jails was about 296,000 in fiscal year 2009 (the most recent data available), and the majority were from Mexico.

Based on our random sample, GAO estimates that the criminal aliens had an average of 7 arrests, 65 percent were arrested at least once for an immigration offense, and about 50 percent were arrested at least once for a drug offense. Immigration, drugs, and traffic violations accounted for about 50 percent of arrest offenses. About 90 percent of the criminal aliens sentenced in federal court in fiscal year 2009 (the most recently available data) were convicted of immigration and drug-related offenses. About 40 percent of individuals convicted as a result of DOJ terrorism-related investigations were aliens.

SCAAP criminal aliens incarcerated in selected state prison systems in Arizona, California, Florida, New York, and Texas were convicted of various offenses in fiscal year 2008 (the most recently available data at the time of GAO's analysis). The highest percentage of convictions for criminal aliens incarcerated in four of these states was for drug-related offenses. Homicide resulted in the most primary offense convictions for SCAAP criminal aliens in the fifth state--New York--in fiscal year 2008. GAO estimates that costs to incarcerate criminal aliens in federal prisons and SCAAP reimbursements to states and localities ranged from about $1.5 billion to $1.6 billion annually from fiscal years 2005 through 2009;

” The news media is full of stories about deserving illegal immigrants who come to the U.S. and are law-abiding contributors to society.”

Let me correct that..

“The news media is full of stories about illegal immigrants”

And let’s pay close attention to that word ILLEGAL...

No, I didn’t say undocumented workers. And what is “deserving” about them? slums springing up anywhere they move in, 15 to an apartment, millions of dollars sent back to Mexico every week, Americans out of work, out of control crime, welfare, food stamps, I’ve seen few who are not outright drunks, and thieves, (they’ve stolen my tools and more) and no, it’s not just jobs Americans don’t want they take.

I’ve seen them directing traffic in road construction crews, and driving the machinery, working in meat packing pants, a clothes hanger manufacturing plant, when I did carpenter work every framing crew in town was illegal immigrants...and I know how many American carpenters were out of work.

I’ve been dealing with them here in Texas since 1976, I know how many claim they don’t speak English and laugh when you get frustrated, literally every trim job we worked on in north Louisiana the crews already working told us don’t leave anything sitting around, they steal anything that’s not nailed down, I watched the framing crew from one new house try to push our tool trailer back so they could steal it, we ran outside throwing hammers...( around $10,000 in tools) That house cost over $300,000 to built and I didn’t find a room anywhere less that one inch out of square. One door was 1/4 inch out of plumb on one side, and 1/2 inch out in the other direction on the other side...we had to disassemble the door casing, cut it on angles and reassemble it to make the door work.

And that’s just scratching the surface.

Send every damn one of them home, they don’t deserve a damn thing for coming here illegally, except a swift kick in the seat of the pants and let Mexico pay for their bus trip back to the border. If they come back, mandatory 2 years in jail. Minimum.

Oops, a couple of typos...

“I didn’t find a room anywhere less that one inch out of square. One door was 1/4 inch out of plumb on one side, and 1/2 inch out in the other direction on the other side”

less than one inch out of square

3/4 inch out of plumb on one side, 1/2 inch out on the other.

sorry...
