I couldn’t possibly disagree more. I am on the polar opposite end of the spectrum from you on this, the cop was totally out of control.
So...just how would YOU have handled it? Remember, multiple adults had already tried being nice...
What should the cop have done?
What do you call Blue Rage when it happens in the home? Chances are his family is also intimidated. The sheriff should send social service to that cop’s home.
The whole idea behind "school resource officers" was implemented throughout the country after Columbine, with the specific responsibility for stopping shooters and terrorists. However, since then, administrators have found it very convenient to turn disciplinary issues over to these LEOs, resulting in a lot of kids getting sent to jail, when in the past, a good paddling sufficed.
I'm amazed that so many on this board are A-OK with how this LEO behaved despite so many threads about jack-booted, out-of-control cops.
I couldn't possibly disagree more. If the young "entitled" undisciplined African savage had not resisted the authority of civilized behavior, her desk would not have been upset. She herself precipitated the escalation.
You’re wrong. The sheriff is wrong. The stupid news readers are all wrong.
The deputy was tasked with removing the student who chose not not get up and walk out of the room. When he tried to pick her up, she is the one who made the chair tip over. The deputy did not “body slam” nor did he “throw her across the room”.
All you pansy-butts have never see real confrontation before so you believe the BS that comes out of the TV. I’d like to see any of your pinkos try to remove a recalcitrant teen if she doesn’t want to leave.
