House lawmakers in both parties joined forces Wednesday to pass a sweeping budget deal that marks both a parting victory for outgoing Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and a valedictory gift for his likely replacement, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).

The final vote was 266 to 167, with 79 Republicans joining every Democrat in sealing passage. Ryan was among the supporters.

We will need more than pitchforks.

Tyrants do not relinquish their hold on power without causing rivers of blood.

The longer it takes to arrive at that inevitability in this country - the greater the cost and the deeper the river is going to be.

No, people who refused to pay the slightest bit of attention to the records of those they elected are despicable.

The GOP are simply evil liberals. They just do what they do. It takes a special kind of moron to listen to what people on websites tell them to vote for ‘no matter what’.

Since the RINO-controlled House has read the Constitution out loud at the beginnings of the last three legislative sessions, I’m very confident that the budget deal is fully compliant with Congress’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers. /sarc
“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

Since one of the very few powers that the states have actually delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, to regulate, tax and spend where domestic issues are concerned is the US Mail Service (1.8.7), I’m no longer concerned about the mail being delayed more than usual.

Why? Clearly it’s not worth saving a country full of people too stupid to intelligently govern themselves. Look who they elected.

Explain to me how this is any different than the forty years under Democrat control, 1954-94.

Don’t you see? It’s LESSER evil. This is exactly what so many screamed for. Less evil than the democrats. So they became Democrats and it’s LESS evil.

Perfectly logical.

Actions have consequences folks. Are you learning the lesson yet?
