Philadelphia and Los Angeles police groups have said they will join New York City officers in a call to boycott the work of the film director Quentin Tarantino after remarks he made last weekend at a protest against police brutality.
Tarantino, an Academy Award-winning filmmaker known for a bloody crime oeuvre that includes âReservoir Dogs,â âPulp Fictionâ and the âKill Billâ movies, joined demonstrators in New York City on Saturday in a protest organized by RiseUpOctober. The rally called for justice for people killed by the police in shootings across the United States. In a statement on Thursday, RiseUpOctober criticized the backlash against Mr. Tarantino.
âIâm a human being with a conscience,â Mr. Tarantino, who flew in from California for the rally, was quoted by The Associated Press. âAnd if you believe thereâs murder going on then you need to rise up and stand up against it. Iâm here to say Iâm on the side of the murdered.â
After Mr. Tarantino appeared at the protest, the president of the New York City Patrolmenâs Benevolent Association, Patrick J. Lynch, called for a boycott of his films, saying in a statement that Mr. Tarantino was a âcop-haterâ and someone who makes a living âglorifying crime and violence.â
William J. Bratton, the New York City police commissioner, also criticized Mr. Tarantino. . .

Sorry about the Cyrillic characters. Donât know how that happened.
It's been happening. I believe the powers that be, are working on it.
Tarantino also has a world class foot fetish.
The NYPD is free to protest Tarantino and he’s free to go make a movie about them that millions of people will go see.
I just don’t see this hurting Tarantino.
Well, I'll never watch his crap again.
Officer Daniel Webster dies (2nd ABQ area officer since May)
It’ll be easy for me to boycott QT’s movies. I find him vastly over-rated. He imitates better filmmakers from the past. The only QT film I really liked was Pulp Fiction.
Yeah...I liked Pulp Fiction as well.
Tarantino is such an a-hole.
I sincerely hope this blossoms into a broad boycott of his films by all police and other first responder organizations, unions and support groups, as well as every decent American who, though sometimes critical of their performance, strongly back them against these bastards including Tarantino and the whole BLM mob.
That’s going to be a lot of people and a lot of lost ticket sales.
Just like their is an awakening to the dishonesty in the media, the cronyism in Washington and the deceit of Democrat “leaders”, this is a good time for Americans to say “NO!!!!” to these relentless assaults on the basic elements of civilized society.
Rant over.
their should be there. Its late, I’ve been typing all day and I can’t see straight.
It seems apostrophes, quotation marks, hyphens are primarily prone to being replaced with other characters generally not found on a standard US English keyboard. It is worst when copying text and pasting it and I have replaced the extra characters with the correct one after previewing and had it come out okay.
