Kohn sourced CNN's Ashleigh Banfield with providing the stat, but she probably shouldn't have taken it at face value.

According to Blaze contributor ; and former NYPD officer ; John Cardillo, the number of children (under 18 years of age) killed by firearms is significantly lower than the figure Kohn provided.

Nope. She said 10,000. The real number was 3,400. That’s not ignoring the fact that they are counting anyone under 20 as a “child” that’s not ignoring the fact that 84% of these “children” killed were 15-19 year old gang bangers killed in gang warfare. This is just lying. This goes beyond using statistics that mean something different than you say they mean, this is just making up numbers.
