There are many times I just want to hang it up and not vote...just let whatever happens happen. But I cannot do that. I have children and 7 grandchildren. They need me to stay in and fight, so I do.
I like free republic because of the various sites that are posted from, and we can share good reads, as well. Trump is not my first choice. He’s a little too unpredictable for me, changing his mind too much. I believe he’d be good for the economy and so-so on immigration. I like Cruz’s actions, standing up, even if it means standing alone, to do what’s right. MANY criticism him, saying why bother if you cannot win. Well, you’ll never win if you don’t start somewhere...and besides, if you promise to stand up for the people, you don’t just choose the winning things. You stand on principle, and MAYBE, just maybe some others will begin to join you, but you know that the people understand that you ARE willing to fight for them. It’d be nice to see a lot more join him in these fights, but I’ll take him and pray that God enlarges his “tribe”.
Trump is my 2nd choice. I pray one of the two wins this, and no more dirty tricks by the GOPe.
He wants a VAT, more H1B visas, and unlike Trump, isn't capable of getting black, Dem, and Indie votes. In order to be president, he needs to be VEEP first and that's what I hope he'll be.....Trump's VEEP.
I want Cruz right beside Trump but the fact is, he’s not appealing to everyone. He is a Great Man that I admire and hopefully more will see this as you and I do. Trump Bulldozes through this and a path will clear for CRUZ.

Cruz refuses to say if he’s for amnesty or not. Not a good sign, IMO. He says he’ll deal with border security first - then ‘have the discussion ‘ on what to do with the millions of illegals first. He says Americans don’t want to have that discussion until the border is dealt with. BS - conservatives want that discussion! so I don’t trust him. He’s not saying because he has something to hide.
