Will the Administration following the Obama administration be a rerun of the Clinton's, where a hundred million dollars of valuable firearms were destroyed to make a political statement?

I'm sure Barry would love to break Bubba's record. The problem is, there just aren't that many mothballed military firearms left to destroy. The "newer" ones are probably M-16s, which are generally disposed of by donations to Mexican military/cartels, ISIS, etc.

I wonder how many 1911s, Garands, 1903s and M1 Carbines have been placed in the hands of the public by DCM/CMP over the years?

Five years ago or so, Zero stopped bringing back thousands of surplus M1 Garands that were loaned to the Greek government. They were scheduled to go to CMP for sales to the taxpaying public who paid for their manufacture.

In the last few years, CMP had Greek 30.06 in bandoleers with 8 round M1 clips in spam cans. The big spam cans sold for under $100. An occasional spam can and individual bandoleers from those spam cans show up at gun shows.
