I carried a the STL Zoo several times, once in 2015-with my grand daughters. Yes, it is posted, no it is not a crime to carry even though posted- MO law is clear, unless it is one of several “prohibited places” any lawful CC who so does in the face of a posted sign is simply choosing what they believe is the best COA. If a CC is “discovered” in a posted premises, they can leave or if they refuse and the cops are summoned, they can be escorted out and given a citation ($100 minor non-traffic). Open carry- meh, not a way to protect oneself, and I know there is debate, but we are in society, not a war zone ( well, with caveats I suppose, but inner city locales are not for me for any reason.).
I will return to the zoo and carry-concealed for my family’s safety, but I won’t go out of my way to create a disturbance, I carry to use only in the gravest of extremes, not to make any kind of statement whatsoever. I leave that to my pen and ink.
