As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

Patriots, Trump is used to being the boss. But I do not think that low-information Trump understands that corrupt Congress can make him a lame-duck president from his first day in office. So if patriots elect Trump as president then they are also going to have to elect a new Congress that will legislatively support Trump.

Well, he will have a pen and a phone, too. But, that's not an optimal path for the Republic, going forward.

Last year, Obama lost the Congressional election by a landslide; then he made the Congress lame-duck the next day.

I see it completely differently. Trump is anything but low information. It is the GOPe who are self-coinvinced that they can “manage” a Trump Presidency, but it is they who are in for a surprise. Just look at how the moron half-breed has “bested” the GOPe. If the GOPe tries to take on Trump, he will have their “mirkins” on the wall of the Oval Office before the sun sets. I will bet that Trump is already accumulating what he needs by way of “information” on each and every member of Congress, and I would imagine that he would use it effectively.

If I understand correctly, to disagree with the President means you (Congress) are “shutting down the government”. To be consistent this now well worn dynamic will have to be true no matter the numbers in Congress. They have rendered themselves largely irrelevant of late.

The presidency can be a very powerful public bully-pulpit....

If used correctly, Congress can be bent to the presidents will....I have no doubt that Trump would do this.....

The last president who did it correctly was Reagan....

Thanks to Obama and the unquestioning Congress he can shove through executive orders.

Full disclosure: I’m a Cruizer

That said, this congress will be ruled utterly by a guy like Trump. RULED. Because they are wholly unable to deal with an Alpha, much less one that literally wrote the book on it.

They are sheep. He is a wolf. The first time they defy him he will crucify them personally in the media even if his press dept has to BE the media. He will because he can.

They cave as a natural default. To barry, to Bhoner, to Peta, to squirrels. He makes people cave.

The danger is all the above actually happening. Because it can mean very bad things just as fast as very good ones. Thats not a hit on Trump. Thats what the danger of electing a lesser evil congress results in.

I've got to agree with you. CEOs aren't used to having co-equal branches of management.

He’s also a salesman and multidimensional. He can deal with Congress.

First, I think Trump will have coattails. Secondly, if Trump wins, congress will be afraid of him, just as the congress was afraid of Ronald Reagan, and that included the democrat-controlled house. I sincerely hope that Mr. Trump has plan for neutering or ridding the party of the corrupt RINOs; fortunately he does seem to know what he is doing. Newt Gingrich had a plan and won GOP majorities in both houses; hopefully, Mr. Trump will do something similar.

That could be true of any of them. I doubt that they are all going to fall to the feet of Cruz either. Most of them don’t like him either.

You still do not get the power of the press, the Oval Office, and the White House podium in the hands of real leadership who is not afraid to expose the entrenched corrupt.

I find your repeated comments to be somewhat suspect regarding this.

You want a president that will work with this congress? The congress that funded Obamacare, executive amnesty, and a spending bill that puts us $19.5T in debt?

I guess you’re voting for Hillary.

Correct

There are THREE branches of Government

That is the problem we have now. Our Government does not function as such.

We have a dictator deciding where to spend money and Houses that are being steam rolled while the Judicial Branch is making laws. None of them following the Constitution as laid out.

Be very wary of someone that promise you everything. I like what Trump is doing but he must work with the other two branches as per the Constitution to make this “country great again”.

I would think Donald Trumps negotiating skills would come in handy when dealing with congress.
