Bob Beckel Should Be Dead

Anybody who can ‘lose it’ and laugh as much as Bob cannot be all bad. When he was in the panel on The Five it was good to watch; when he wasn’t, it was almost boring. Everyone is entitled to his opinion but I sometimes got the impression that he was under duress to hold back.

Dearest Tony Snow and Cal Thomas aside, if Bob Beckel, who works with alcoholics can't exhibit the needed humility and compassion that are keys to the recoveries of all alcoholics whenever Beckel is on the air then I'm not about to change my negative opinion of Beckel, based upon his close, personal associations.

Either be the same public and private person, or don't expect the majority of the public to buy the glorified opinions of personal friends.

I won't buy his book, either. For starter's Beckel is of no interest to me.

His life doesn't affect mine at all and I still switch the channel whenever I see him, and of late on CNN and sometimes on Morning Joe.

Cal Thomas is shilling for Beckel's book. I have no respect for Cal now.

I see Beckel pop up on CNN here and there. Believe me, if he wasn't a true liberal as opposed to that phony appellation, "honest liberal", the radical-left CNN wouldn't be paying him a red cent.

Folks here have a warm, fuzzy spot in their hearts for Beckel ONLY because they'd like to see him return to the Five to displace Whorealdo or Wan Williams.....which will not happen.

Beckel is just a shade or two lighter on the dark side than Rivera and Williams...and he ain't comin' back to Fox as a regular, thank heavens.

At least on CNN he isn't on every day to do his sly soft-sell of hard socialism/marxism.

I hear you. Beckel seems like a troubled soul to me. Someone very close to me was an alcoholic, and she was very difficult to cope with. I didn’t realize that Beckel was an alcoholic until I read this article.
