"We have some 2,500 combat troops on the ground in Iraq"

If this wasn't so deadly serious, this statement would be laughable. Folks, we have a lot more than 2,500 troops in Iraq. Perhaps they get away with this by saying well they're not combat troops. So what is a combat troop?

Col West, you are correct, we have no current workable strategy in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan etc... I truly believe the strategy is do just enough so this situation does not blow up in the face of the current administration. Leave the tough choices to the next administration and I will get out of here saying I ended two wars....

I will go one better, we had no workable solution in Irag and Afghanistan since we got involved there.

BTW, while I attention is directed to Syria at the moment, something is happening in SE Asia with serious overtones, the People Republic President is meeting with the president of Taiwan for the first time in 50+ years. I have been saying for a year countries like Taiwan which were dependent on US support are going to realign as O Turd removes us from the world stage.

Obama is doing what every Democrat president has done over the last 100 years. Put US military in harms way as a trip wire. If our soldiers are killed, we will retaliate with the full force of the US military.

Problem is, no one believes Obama, so if US forces are killed, what is Obama going to do? Well we already know that answer. Nothing, as long as it fits the agenda.
