Republicans rate gun issues more important to their vote than others do, but thereâs a great deal of skepticism among all voters about politicians who raise gun-related issues.
Seventy-seven percent (77%) of Likely U.S. Voters believe most politicians raise gun issues just to get elected rather than to address real problems. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds only 11% think most have real problems in mind, while another 11% are undecided.

CNN tho has an article up that heavily cites “Everytown” to proclaim yesterdays Dem failure to capture the VA state senate as a huge win for gun control advocates.
Yes, you read that right, McAwful being defeated in his quixotic quest is a big victory for gun control.

The Democrats' leader in the Senate, Sen. Richard Saslaw (D-Fairfax), defended the emphasis on gun control, saying it had energized the Democratic base.
Bwa ha ha .... if it 'energized' the Democratic base, then the Republican base went nuclear. The Dems just can't believe they lost.
