Voters Doubt Sincerity of Politicians Who Raise Gun Issues
Rasmussen Reports ^ | November 04, 2015

Republicans rate gun issues more important to their vote than others do, but there’s a great deal of skepticism among all voters about politicians who raise gun-related issues.

Seventy-seven percent (77%) of Likely U.S. Voters believe most politicians raise gun issues just to get elected rather than to address real problems. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds only 11% think most have real problems in mind, while another 11% are undecided.

WaPo has a great article up on how gun control cost McAwful and the Democrats control of the Virginia State Senate.

Must-read, but I can’t copy/paste the link from my phone.

Yup! Thanks!

CNN tho has an article up that heavily cites “Everytown” to proclaim yesterdays Dem failure to capture the VA state senate as a huge win for gun control advocates.

Yes, you read that right, McAwful being defeated in his quixotic quest is a big victory for gun control.

(can’t ... stop ... laughing...)

What made me laugh was this quote:

The Democrats' leader in the Senate, Sen. Richard Saslaw (D-Fairfax), defended the emphasis on gun control, saying it had energized the Democratic base.

Bwa ha ha .... if it 'energized' the Democratic base, then the Republican base went nuclear. The Dems just can't believe they lost.

They’re pulling out their old and well-used rationalization that “things would have been worse if we didn’t, so this loss is really a victory for us”
