The only tribunal he has in mind is one run by elitist radical liberals. This would not even be a tribunal; it would be an extra-legal kangaroo court that arbitrarily targets whomever it deems to be “offensive” and dispenses ideology based “justice”.

You are right — tribunals like this can suddenly target anyone at any time for any reason. And that includes Ayers if he should express a “wrong” view.

If a civil war breaks out again, I wouldn't put any money on Ayers surviving more than a week. Michael Moore is another one.
