I agree. Something wasn’t right back there, and I can imagine some “news” reports will focus on that, instead of the thousands of people out front.
Write ups after the speech described the crowd as “capacity” and “enthusiastic: so I’m not sure what exactly you mean by your post. I watched some of it on youtube and saw nothing out of the ordinary.
Article I read about this (ABCTV) was definitely not written by Trump fan as several not so veiled barbs were tossed at him but there was no denying by author the excitement and size of the crowd.
Quite a number of people behind Trump looked bored during the speech.
Trump has access to the smartest lawyers around. I trust him, more than any of the other potential nominees, to find ways within the law to dismantle the damage done to the US throughout the past few decades.
Where is Carson campaigning? He was away for two weeks on a a book tour. He’s like a ghost. He’s here He’s there. But where is he? Where are the people?
It would be quite difficult during a 1 hr speech to maintain a high state of enthusiasm and consequently easy for a biased reporting to focus on those who did look bored.
Bottom line is the place was filled to capacity.
I was at the rally. It was announced that Trump’s rally was the largest event ever held at the Convention Center 10,000 plus.. There were so many people, they were even sitting on the stairs.
I don’t know what the tv showed, but it was amazing seeing the enormous, energetic crowd!
I’m not going to watch it again, but as I recall that listlessness was during the first 15 minutes of the speech.
At the time I started wondering why those people even bothered to get tickets.
The thought that they might be plants didn’t enter my mind until this thread.
During the speech the black woman at the upper right spends time talking over the top of her husband to someone. She has on a big nice looking hat.
Plants would be outed in a nanosecond. I’m pretty sure a competent opponent checks every photo every video for smoking guns like that. Not to mention pacs and just plain mean people.
First off, most of what Trump has to fix isn’t going to be legislative related. Trump has already stated he’s ready to work within the confines of the law and existing contracts.
Have you missed tha message he often repeats one way or another or are you ignoring it?
Based on what I have read in Free Republic, few law schools are actually teaching the federal governments constitutionally limited powers the way that the Founding States had intended for those powers to be understood. So if Trump and his institutionally indoctrinated lawyers do not regularly read Free Republic, then they are probably chasing their tails.
Just a suspicion...if you listen to Trump, it often seems like he picks up on this that are expressed here pretty quickly. I’d assume that Trump or some staff read what conservatives are saying and thinking.
With all due respect Fhios, without looking, can you tell me why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I?
Next, noting that I will vote for Trump if nominated, please consider the following.
The problem with federal laws is that the states have never delegated to Congress, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to make probably most of the federal laws that are now in the books, many federal laws actually based on 10th Amendment protected powers which the corrupt feds have been stealing from the states for many generations. And based on what Trump says in his otherwise excellent speeches, Trump is probably clueless that many federal laws and federal agencies are unconstitutional imo.
So although I think that Trump is the right man to clean up the mess in DC, at this point in time he is probably not aware how big that mess actually is imo.
Trump needs to control the groups who sit behind him when he’s speaking... Dem operatives are filling as many seats as they can. Anyone notice the guy who was reading a book?
Since Hillary is known for filling up the spaces behind her with young people (Teacher’s unions ARE democrat) I assume it’s the Hillary campaign seeding the crowds...
He sounds a bit horse.
Let us hope so.
