19 Harvard Law professors pen letter denouncing 'The Hunting Ground'
Washington Examinaer ^

Nineteen Harvard Law professors have written a letter condemning "The Hunting Ground," a film purporting to be a documentary about campus sexual assault. The film has been getting some Oscar buzz, and CNN is preparing to air the program next week.

In a press package for the film, CNN singled out a story in the film about a sexual assault accusation at Harvard. The press packet named the accused student, even though he was not identified in the film. The 19 professors want to be sure viewers are aware that the film is highly misleading.

The accusation involved former Harvard student Kamilah Willingham, who claimed in the film that she and a friend passed out after a night of drinking and were forcibly sexually assaulted by their male friend, who possibly drugged them. Willingham claims Harvard had an "extreme reluctance to believe her" and that even though the school suspended the accused student, it allowed him to return to campus. The film makes it seem as if the accused student was almost immediately allowed back on campus. In reality, he was suspended for an entire year. The charges were dropped when he was allowed to return to campus. The film also states that the accused student was later indicted for sexual assault, making it seem as though Harvard allowed a dangerous man to return to campus. But that's not what happened. The accused student, Brandon Winston, was not indicted on a separate accusation, but on the same accusation from Willingham and her friend. He was not indicted on the serious charges of sexual assault, nor was he indicted for any charges relating to Willingham. Willingham had proven to be an unreliable witness, having presented a condom she claimed to have been used by Winston during the rape of her friend. The condom actually belonged to a different male student, who had used it with Willingham.

I guess this highly intelligent Harvard student has never heard of this new scientific breakthrough called DNA.

As for the claim of drugging, no drugs were found in Willingham or her friend, except for the cocaine she had willingly used and distributed amongst her friends the night of the incident.

Kamilah does not sound terribly bright.

One wonders how to got herself into Harvard to begin with.

Well if you were from the Boston area you wouldn’t need to ask that question. Harvard undergrads are the most over-rated students in the world.

Yes, and prominently displaying the latest (?) story of the Jameis Winston accuser, whose varying versions and contradictory statements were rejected in 3 separate inquiries so far, including a hearing before a former state supreme court justice with no ties to the school. Her Colorado attorneys specialize in bringing rape claims against schools through the administrative hearing process mandated by Obama’s agency, without due process or the ability of the accused to confront the accuser. They’ve been exploiting a market niche the agency created and using the media as a willing accomplice in the campus rape narrative to create settlement pressure. Fortunately, FSU is now led by a former GOP state house speaker who is fighting back against this scam in the federal court action.

Disappointed she didn’t have an easy path to establish a prima facie case so that she could wrangle a large settlement from the school and a high draft pick, she is now rolling the dice in the inevitable civil action anyway. Her attorneys wnat to get paid somehow, but this time for the first time, she will be subject to cross examination.

That’s not to say Jameis Winston isn’t an idiot in other ways. But once it became apparent he was going to win the Heisman and become a high draft pick, that when her aunty lawyer decided to come forward with a claim over a hook-up that occurred almost year earlier. The Hunting Ground crew didn’t even interview the school to get the full story. They didn’t cover how the NYT camped out in Tallahassee for 6 months trying to dig up dirt on the DA, the police force, the FB team, and found nothing to report. But exculpatory evidence like the holes in her story doesn’t fit the Left’s narrative. The film makers will make a buck, however.

Well, James Watson is a racist, sexist, homophobe, cisgenderist. So we can safely ignore all of his other ideas and any purported “contributions” to human knowledge he claims to have made.

She copied and pasted the Communist Manifesto into her entrance application and promised to sleep with every left-leaning professor?
