Trump did not compare Carson to a child molester; rather he was providing the explanation of how pathological behavior is impossible to cure - as in the case of one who is a child molester - there is a subtle difference in his argument.

Contrary to contemporary political speech, most pathological behavior comes and goes. Everyone behaves pathologically sometimes, and most pathological behaviors are corrected. A pathology is simply an unhealthy condition. Much contemporary political speech is indeed pathological.
Can the pathological lust of the contemporary political class for big government spending be cured? In the absence of any truly conservative candidates, it will surely be cured through the remainder of the default process.
