The former Navy SEAL who shot and killed Usama bin Laden tells Fox Newsâ Peter Doocy in an exclusive interview that it was "just luck" he ended up being the man to pull the trigger.
In part two of âThe Man Who Killed Usama bin Laden," airing Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, Rob O'Neill says it was just chance that he ended up being the shooter in the famous mission at bin Laden's compound in Pakistan in 2011.
He also describes the team's harrowing 90-minute flight back to Afghanistan after completing the raid.
"Eighty-something minutes into it, somebody came over the radio to everybody and said, 'Alright gentleman for the first time in your lives youâre going to be happy to hear thisâ¦welcome to Afghanistan,ââ he says. âAnd everyone was like; oh my Godâ¦we just did it. We just pulled it off and we got him. And we all lived. Weâre all fine. It was insane. So then, there was high-fiving and stuff. Guys were, cause I mean, we got Usama bin Laden and weâre going to liveâ¦amazing."

He’s lying, that or he doesn’t know what Osama looked like.
Until or unless I see pictures color me skeptical. :-)
This former Navy SEAL now has an even bigger target on his back.....giving this "exclusive interview" or any interview is insane. imho. Why talk about a mission at all.........
The book “No Easy Day” has a LOT of detail leading up to that moment (written by the guy standing behind the guy who shot OBL), enough that effective lying would be harder than actually doing it.
Pics or it didn’t happen.
He’s the 3rd navy seal to kill Obama bin Laden.
I thought that seal team was shot down in a helicopter a few years back. What gives here?
But the Taliban sort of got even when they brought down that Chinook supposedly on a special mission, with out Cobra escort(which I think is SOP) I think there were around 20 SEAL’s, and I think some were ST6.
