Trump and Cruz do appear to have a special bond. They also met over the summer at Trump Tower in New York which is the source of that much posted photo below of Trump and Cruz with Cruz's suit jacket sleeves being too long. My theory on that was Cruz left his jacket in the car (it was a hot day) and didn't expect his picture to be taken. When it was, Trump probably loaned him one of his.

So what kind of deal might they have with each other?

Well I think it is fair to say that without Trump being in the race, Jebbie Bush would have the nomination just about all wrapped up by now and that all the vitriol that was directed at Trump these past few months would have been directed instead at Cruz.

So perhaps Trump agreed to run for president to keep the heat off Cruz. And in the case Trump actually happened to win the nomination and election, he would have a spot for Cruz in his administration (if not VP). And likewise should Cruz be the winner.

I believe that Cruz is functioning as a one-man steering committee for Trump on issues.

"Donald, you want to know who's the expert on immigration? Have your people get in touch with Jeff Sessions' people. Jeff's the expert in Congress on this issue. His people will give your people what they need for a position paper."

I suspect that Cruz is the key person in Trump's brain trust.

Yes they did. This is just additional evidence that maybe something is up with them.

Also check my post #18.

Sorry Sam Adams 76 I missed the end of you post.

This is exactly what some of us have thought for a long time.

When you add in the part about Palin it makes even more sense.

Love that pic. We need to find another one, with those two, where Cruz’ jacket isn’t so YUGE ;-)

What’s the matter with Cruz’s jacket in that photo? It looks like he borrowed someone else’s jacket ... the sleeves are way too long for him.

Your thoughts=equal the same thoughts here. Cruz doing the leg work needing to be done as The Donald takes the incoming fire. If TRUMP wins the nomination and does not name CRUZ as his running mate, not only would I be sorely surprised, I’d be thoroughly disappointed in him.

GO TRUMP! GO CRUZ! ~ YOU WIN OR WE LOSE!!
