What are those of us who are Seniors on Medicare, pre-paid taxes, and Tricare Life, for career Military over 65. Supposed to do? It is limited coverage, controlled by the Feds and DOD. We have co-pays, and are DOD MANDATED to use Military dispensaries or Express Scripts. Which has been sued for fraud by different states. It was a 2014 cumbersome pilot program made permanent in 2015. And we get no COLA raise in 2016. Yet the cost of food has gone sky high. Even at the Military Commissary.
We don’t have dental, vision coverage or hearing, and those 3 items are very expensive. VA due to disability provides hearing aids for my husband who served 20 years and retired as a SCPO and has high freq. hearing loss due to jet engine noise as he worked the flight deck before they knew about hearing issues. I just learned I have an enlarged heart and a small leaky valve to go with all my other health issues. None of them treatable or curable. Inadequate pain control drives up the BP into heart attack range.
