I don’t know what is funny about millions of people dying, that said, You have made an excellent point.
I was typing to fast.. I meant it would be funny except that several million people are going to die.
I have an interest in history. I like to ponder things that are occurring and try to put them in a timeline that makes things interesting and helps me understand my place in the great wave of human history. Sounds silly I know, but it brings me a smile and also a little melancholy.
I try to help my family plan and maybe cope with things as they’re happening and what “may” happen. Similar to all good fathers I suspect.
It’s my opinion that we are slowly sliding towards the end of our “republic” and are witnessing the decline of the American era. I think it’ll take a century or more, but like all businesses and civilizations, you either expand or contract. Nature and humans aren’t static. In spite of what people may “hope” or plan for. It’s not anything new, I’m not original in seeing the “decline and fall of the American Empire”. It’s just funny how some people interpret these facts and events.
As if some new plan or new law or new political party is going to change the macro level of our decline.
Secondly and possibly more to the point, I see the Muslims having a “reformation” of sorts. It took Christians 30 years of formal war and a century of conflict until we came to a very uneasy peace with peoples of other religions and views living and worshiping among each other. I figure that the Shia and Sunni are doing the same. Unfortunately they’re having their fight all over the world and dragging Jews and Christians along for the ride.
Our leaders are crooks and short term idiots that will look up only when their children are destroyed... Like Geraldo..hahahahaha... getting all wee-weed up about bombing those ISIS bastards when they threatened his little princess... He didn’t care about the Marines shot, female worker beheaded, or any of the innumerable victims of jihad. Only when his little girl was upset did daddy Geraldo want to kick ass.
That’s why I laugh at these fools singing songs (James Taylor “you got a friend) or lighting candles or making nice drawings. Because they’ll all fall to the blade of Jihad without a fight and only be remembered as “one of the millions” who died during the coming dark age.
If you’re interested you might consider reading about the Protestant reformation and see what men will do under the cover of the cross and for power. Germany lost 20-30% of it’s population. We are living in those times my friend.
We are 3 days without food from total anarchy and then we’ll see the barbarians. Nobody is going to make it without group support from a church, family or organization.
Of course that’s just my opinion.....and I could be wrong.
