Heh....several years ago, I obtained one of the "hero" series ones -- Mitchell Paige, Medal of Honor from Guadalcanal, because I was scheduled to visit him at his home (his wife and my mother were DAR buddies).

As he was autographing the box I referred to it as a doll, and he smiling corrected me with "Please - it's an action figure!"
