Greensboro police asks residents to sign pledge, turn in guns

November 14, 2015, by Brian Rainey

GREENSBORO, N.C. Greensboro police are asking residents to show their commitment to safety by signing a Pledge of Non-violence on Saturday.

The pledge can be signed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Destiny Christian Center located at 2401 Randleman Road.

Police said that anyone 18 years or older can anonymously turn in as many guns as they want at this event.

The first 1,000 people to sign the pledge will receive a small gift, according to police.

After the event, the Pledge of Non-violence will be available for download at www.gsopd.org, police said.
