In the 50’s I used to watch them everyday when I came home from school. Also, I used to have some cassett tapes of their radio shows...Absolutely hilarious.
When Tim Moore, The Kingfish retired and they asked him what he was going to do, he said: I’m goin’ to do nuthin’ and I’m goin’ to do it slow!” And every time I see some “a$$ kissing polititian” on TV they remind me of Algonquin J. Calhoun, the shylock lawyer on the show!
