That works when the media ask obvious ‘gotcha’ questions, but not when they ask general policy questions the candidate does not have answers for.

On NBC AM news, they showed Dr. Carson being asked who he'd call if there's an attack and he had no answer. What did his staff do? Blame the media and call that a "gotcha'" question! That lame excuse is wearing on voters.

Nothing would make me happier. Cruz is likely many Trump and Carson voters’ second choice. Not Rubio voters, though. More importantly, I see all four of these guys staying in the race through the initial primaries. There is much cannibalization going on.

Carson is a SDA, and many SDAs if not most are vegetarians.
