Harper made a huge mistake not campaigning against Trudeau’s pacifist foreign policy views. The Conservatives got distracted by the symbolic issue of banning the Niqab and gave Trudeau a free pass on a multitude of asinine foreign policy statements, including sending parkas to Syrian refugees and praising the Communist Chinese political system. On foreign policy, young Trudeau is clearly over his head.
