After issuing a promise to carry out an attack on Washington D.C., ISIS has said in a new video message they will deploy a suicide bomber to New York City's Times Square.
New York City officials, including Mayor Bill DeBlasio and NYPD Chief Bill Bratton, held a press conference late last night to encourage New Yorkers to remain aware of their surroundings, but not to change their daily habits.
"We cannot be intimidated, and that's what terrorists seek to do. They seek to create fear. They seek to intimidate. We will not be intimidated, and we will not live in fear," Bratton said.
"We are aware of the newly-released ISIS video that mentions Times Square. While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target," the NYPD released in a statement late last night. "While there is no current or specific threat to the City at this time, we will remain at a heightened state of vigilance and will continue to work with the FBI, the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the entire intelligence community to keep the City of New York safe. In addition, we are continuing to deploy additional Critical Response Command (CRC) teams throughout the City, out of an abundance of caution."
With the upcoming Thanksgiving parade and holiday season, which includes the annual celebration of New Year's eve in Times Square, it's a popular time to be in New York City.
of course I don’t, but do you not realize that expressing disappointment that DC might not be hit, in favor of NYC, which would affect the lives of Freepers and other conservatives, is offensive? think about that. cheerleading for a hit anywhere on US soil is offensive.
Isn’t Cuomo welcoming them with open arms? What is the city going to do when that happens?
This week, FEMA has hung fliers on all our mailboxes, telling us to prepare for a catastrophe... to stock canned goods, have plenty of water, know where to go in an emergency, have an escape route planned. etc..
Do they know something?
This is in Georgia.. not NYC
That’s perfect.......and sadly very true. Someone should shove this picture in Hussiens face.
Obama is offensive. His supporters who want to bring possible terrorists into my country are offensive. Liberals who celebrate abortion are offensive. Those in my government who are working to silence Christians are offensive. Forcing homosexuality on children as normal is offensive. Fomenting racial animosity and encouraging riots and looting is offensive. Forgive me if I have no sympathy for Obama and his minions.

ISIS threatens to attack New York City in new slick video showing suicide bombers walking into Times Square
New video shows clips of Manhattan, yellow taxis, and teeming crowds
The slick clip also features President Hollande’s speech vowing to hit ISIS
It comes days after the terrorist group specifically threatened Washington
NYPD is ‘aware of the new video’ and is in a state of ‘heightened vigilance’
I disagree with none of that. But that in no way excuses you from wishing harm on our country and fellow freepers and conservatives. Every place in this country has freepers and conservatives, there is no strategic strike that will just take out the ones who offend. so no, I don’t forgive you for wishing ill on those of us who live with a target on us.
Well, at least it won't be one of those Syrian refugees. Obama has promised us that.

I don’t really care what you think. And again, what I think or wish has no bearing on what terrorists do.
The more ISIS threatens NYC. The more I think I made the right move by not going to the Boston College-Notre Dame football game at Fenway Park on Saturday night. ND is making a big deal out of this game. They’re even wearing the Green jerseys on National TV. Stay out of Kenmore Square.
Three things about that thought:
1 - Security in and around Times Square is RIDICULOUS during that 3-4 day period before New Years (I worked there between 1999 and 2007). Pat downs were common. “Random search” happened ALL THE TIME.
2 - Times Square is packed during a normal day. More than enough targets and half the security.
3 - Most New Years Eves are so cold that no one wants to be outside at all. If it’s a normal New Years weather, imports from the middle east would DEFINITELY not want to be outside.
I get what you’re saying about the impact of watching a suicide attack during New Years Rockin Eve and it’s certainly possible but they can cause just as much carnage with half the risk by choosing a different day. Of course, this implies they are thinking logically with solid tactical planning. Whether they are or not is up for debate.
The way things are going in this country, ISIS will hit what they want when they want. Those people are good “chess players” who don’t give away their plans like stupid ass odumbo does. Anyone with intent on causing major damage keeps their mouth shut until their plan is executed. The only thing we can hope for is that our people are better chess players.
Might I recommend that they visit the "news" outlets there? I can think of no better place for an ISIS attack than the headquarters of the Democrat Propaganda corps.
I knew right away when I heard him say ,,, “ The Muslim call to prayer was the most beautiful sound on earth “ he was a dyed in the wool muzzie . Every thing after that has made perfect sense to me .
After issuing a promise to carry out an attack on Washington D.C.,
That is sort of my point. If the story is true about the gooner who left Louisiana for NYC, it is just the first. Once these people see that regular American won’t let them get away with raping and pillaging, they will all go to cities and continue their terror there. I don’t know if the libs are smart enough to figure that out yet, but they’re going to learn it pretty soon. It’ll be interesting what they’ll say about their demigod Obama after that!
obama was never fully vetted
he paid millions to conceal his background
now we know he is a communist, muslim, racist
out to destroy (change) America
oops...
I feel sorry for law enforcement. NYC is going to need all those special teams to handle the Macy’s Parade next week. Not to mention two professional football games, and all the Black Friday sales.
And Mayor DeBlasio who undermines them at every turn.
