Kerry in Israel Next Week to Squeeze Bibi for 'Good Will' for Abbas [Zechariah 12]

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will be back in town on Tuesday for another round of pressing Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to give Mahmoud Abbas another boost in confidence by surrendering more sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Kerry also will meet with the Palestinian Authority chairman, but there has been no mention of a joint meeting. Whenever the Secretary of State comes, he wants something in return for having taken his precious time to talk with the Prime Minister, who is his biggest obstacle to giving him at least one supposed achievement before he leaves Foggy Bottom when President Barack Obama exits the White House.

The United States has adopted the Palestinian Authority position that settlements are the reason for Arab violence, which the Palestinian Authority calls the "resistance," and that Jews even thinking about praying on the site of the First and Second Temples is the "rationale" for jihad. That leads Kerry to his logical conclusion that Prime Minister Netanyahu must make more concessions to keep Abbas from being hanged, in effigy if not in reality, by the same type of Arab terrorists who threw Hosni Mubarak and then Mohamed Morsi out of power. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi appears to be next in line. The Secretary of State has tried to show "balance" by saying that Abbas must reduce incitement, as it committed to eradicate when it signed the Oslo Accords two decades ago. Since then, each "good will concession" by Israel has been followed by a harder line from Ramallah, accompanied by violence whenever Israel does not concede enough...

Once again, Secretary of State John Kerry rides into town to join his partner, Mahmood Abbas, to play the role of "good cop" to save Israel against the "bad cop", Islamic extremism. Kerry and Abbas will predictably demand that Israel cede yet more land to the Palestinians, who will not even recognize Israel's right to exist. Otherwise, Abbas will allow the Intifada-Islamic Jihad against Israel to continue until all Jews are either driven into the sea or dead...preferably both (even though he is the good cop). Either scenario is fine for Abbas, who has yet to wipe the Jewish blood off his hands from the 1972 Munich Israeli athlete executions of which he financed.

Why is America coming apart at the seams? Why are we saddled with cowardly leadership that cannot even raise the moral courage to protect our borders or stand up to a rogue president? Why are we becoming irreparably divided and lacerated to the point of civil strife? God said in Zech 12 and Joel 3 that any nation who divides his land will suffer such judgments. Any nation that sides with the mental illness known as Islam over His truth cannot stand. Can anything cure us? Can anything take us back to former days? Only a turning back to the God of Israel who gave Himself for our sins...that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3)...
