If states had more power like they should we have all these regulations, or Obamacare or refugees waiting to blow us to kingdom come. Support the Convention of States.

Yet another Obama similarity with Wilson. Wilson fought the “beer barons” as he campaigned for the Volstead Act. Wilson and his adoring press linked the “beer barons” to the Kaiser and when they attempted to defend themselves, accused them of subversion.

In a time when we all could use a cold beer, 0bama is going to take that away from us too.

I wonder which major brewer lobby group pushed this.

Obama threatening a cornerstone of hipster culture. Sweet irony (Perhaps that should be a microbrew name?).

Also takes aim at farmers who grow hops, a labor-intensive crop. I was reading an article about them a few days ago in Farm Journal or some farm publication. They are grown on strings suspended from a wire suspended between two poles. They have to be trained to wind clockwise around the strings. Weeds have to be controlled by hand; some farmers hire workers with hoes ;-).
The author of the article said he learned the hard way the first year. He wound the vines counter-clockwise. They unwound themselves and were lying on the ground.
They are harvested mechanically.
The reason this sprang up as a specialty crop is because of the demand by craft brewers.

“Beer is a Yuge source of CO2.”
That’s one more reason to not understand the logic of gasohol.

Whomever the MORON is that thought up this little nugget of absolute nonsense should be forbidden to hold any future job that affects the public in general. This society has gone MAD.

Miller, Budweiser and Coors cannot compete with craft brews on flavor, so they hire K street lobbyists to make it so they don’t have to compete at all. Soon your choices will be any variety of mass produced flavorless swill that is produced by corporations that donate to all the right politicians.

That's why I keep a microbrew kit here at home. I can ferment better beer in 30 days than most of that carbonated water they're selling nowadays. And it'll put color in your cheeks. I'm thinking a good, stout, dark winter beer is next. A doppelbock.

Your sitting over here and straining at how perpetually irritating you can be, will not effect the delivery of a single greater good... not one.
Greater goods are brought by showing gratitude to God for the lesser goods we have, right now.
