Muslim terrorists opened fire on an upscale hotel on Friday in the city of Bamako, the capital of the western African state of Mali.
The jihadists used automatic weapons according to security sources, and apparently have taken people hostage in the Radisson Blu Hotel. Some reports indicate that at least three people have died in the attack.
The luxury hotel, which has 190 rooms, is a popular site for Western officials according to French-language media.
According to the French RFI radio, the attack was launched by three assailants who entered the hotel with diplomatic cars.
Security forces have set up a cordon around the building, and a security source told AFP that "it's all happening on the seventh floor, jihadists are firing in the corridor."

In this day and time...you have to be foolish to travel to such a country. You may not be able to help it if it is your job. But you are talking your life into your hands every time you step into one of these 3rd world hell holes.
I travels a LOT in the 1980s and into the late 1990s. You could not pay me enough to do so now.
God help the hostages and bless them and their loved ones. God help the troops who are tasked with taking down these animals.
In order to defeat radical Islam we are going to have to munt a campaign similar to what we did to the Nazis and Imperial Japanese.
Turn all of their cities into rubble. Kill all who fight us, or who support those fighting. Indiscriminant bombing, humbling the entire people...until the beg us to stop and accept unconditional surrender.
Then we will have to spend 30 years occupying what’s left turning them into civilized nations just like we did Germany and Japan.
That’s what it is going to take. Anything less will just prolong the butchery.

I think we are close to a WW II type effort! Meaning “The Allies” took on the Axix powers and devoted 100% of all nations human and material and emotional resources to the eradication of the Nazis and the Japs and the fascists of Mussolini.
Now, WW III will concern itself with turning Islam into the same dirty word “Nazi” has evolved to and the N word!
All western countries are going to have to join in and occupy whatever and whichever Muslim lands to eradicate 12th Century Islam. In the course of executing the “occupation” all principles and adherents of radical Islam will be hung, just like we hung the Nazis and the Japs and Hussein.

The Malian Security Ministry has announced that three of the gunmen who seized the Radisson hotel in Bamako have been killed so far during the ongoing operation by security forces, independent Malian site Abamako reports.
The gunmen are reportedly heading for the roof of the building.
Could it be that US forces were in Bamako due to the mining conference?
