Here’s the kicker sentence.

“However, the state’s quake activity has continued since that milestone temblor, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.”

It’s not hydraulic fracturing that’s been going on since the 1930s that’s causing the problem. It’s something much bigger that is not our fault.

The quakes stretch from southern Kansas to northern Texas.

Related or not, I thought I read that they were shutting down some deep dump waste wells. Despite the evidence, the frickin’ anti frackers are still whining about the well/erf quake connection. And here I thought the quakes were because of that millions of degrees magma caused by glow-bull discombobulation was the culprit.

Yeah, even if it is fracking, then GTHO of the State if you fear 3.0 earthquakes. Plus, they don’t complain about man-made tornadoes, do they?

Correct. I went to boarding school there in my teens (I am retirement age). We had little tremblers ALL the time. We made jokes about them in the dorm - sophomoric humor - and learned not to put breakable items on top of the chest of drawers.

There have been clusters of earthquakes in NW Dallas County, near the old Texas Stadium site in Irving, for months now.

There are few wells and little drilling in Dallas County.

However, the spot of the quakes is near the confluence of several faults, but the anti-drilling zealots conveniently ignore that.

It’s like global warming: man’s egotism yearns to take credit for everything that happens. It’s hard to admit that there are forces that predate us and that are out of our control.
