I turned on MSNBC this morning in the admittedly masochistic hope of seeing Melissa Harris-Perry, only to find Harry Smith--of all people--hosting continuing coverage of the Paris attacks and related issues.
After running clips of Ted Cruz, Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee questioning the admittance into the US of Syrian refugees, Smith immediately displayed on screen and read the passage of Matthew 25 that begins "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat . . . I was a stranger and you invited me in," etc. Smith then turned to the Rev. Jacqui Lewis, pastor of the hyper-liberal Middle Collegiate Church in NYC's East Village, and asked this hyper-leading question: "is this as important a piece of the New Testament as exists?" Surprise! Lewis agreed that it "absolutely" is.

You are quoting Scripture to mostly Christians, living in a nation which was founded to protect Christians from persecution. The trouble with this, Harry, is that the people you which to shame the nation’s Christians into bringing on their shores hate Christians and only wish them dead so they can replace the Constitution with Sharia and institute the way of life they are supposedly fleeing which includes persecuting Christians.

So all of a sudden, a book of “fairy tales written about some invisible magical sky person” is now good enough to cite as a policy paper?

In the 50’s we required a loyalty oath which excluded communists and nazis from entering our country and required the person to swear that they do and will not advocate the overthrow of our government.

What happened to separation of Church and State. This passage, and the entire book of Matthew is directed at followers of Christ, telling them what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Well if a lib wants to use scripture, lets look at the old testament, God instructed the Israelites to destroy his enemies & not take in a thing from them...
New Testament, Jesus told the adulterer to go and sin no more. He didn’t embrace her sin. Libs would have us embrace muslim terrorists & not call their violence what it is.
We are told to love our enemies, and understand that Vengeance belongeth to the Lord, but it is the Government's duty (Roman's 13) to protect its Nation and people - and they are shirking that God-given responsibility when they invite in evil.

So how many refugees is Harry Smith taking in?
A lot of Vietnam War draft dodgers went to seminary and into the clergy during the 60s and 70s to gain a continuing deferment and avoid service; they are now the senior ministers/priests/rabbis, deans and highest level executives of many of the mainstream Christian and Jewish sects. You can see them drenched in leftism now; it is tough to avoid their constant leftist slant, I really think a lot of them don’t even believe much in the Scriptures.
