IMHO Cruz does not have the resources to get this done. We all know the GOPe will come down hard on him and try to dry up his sources of money. That is why IMHO we need Trump to lead the way and then Cruz in 4-8 years.

Unmarked, thank you for posting that link. I remember seeing that clip of Cruz’s remarks about the tough guy image done by Sabo. Cruz truly is a tough guy in spite of his ordinary appearance in real life.

That said, I don’t actually think it’s going to make any difference to our pious friend. He seems to be looking for some desperately wicked thing he can hang on Cruz in order to make Trump look more appealing to Bible-believing Christians. To this Bible-believing Christian, there are many things about Trump that are off-putting, but one of the more odious is showing up at a rally with his Bible as a prop. “Looky! I have a Bible! I told you people that I’m a Christian!” Well, that settles it! I know I’m convinced!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Hey, Donald! May I recommend Matthew 5:39 and 40 for your consideration. BTW, that’s in the New Testament. And before you put your Bible away to once again collect dust, flip over to Proverbs 15:1 (Old Testament) and see if you might be able to find some wisdom in that passage.

Are you a Christian? If so, please answer this simple, basic question:

Who is our example/role model? Who are we to emulate?

While you’re pondering that question, here’s another. Suppose it was Jesus, not Cruz, in that picture. Jesus, nude, tattooed, dangling a cigaette.

Would evangelicals buy up a lot of those pics? Would they adorn their churches and Sunday schools with it?

Or would they be revolted/nauseated?

If Cruz is a follower of Christ, should he not emulate Him?

Should not Trump?

I don’t hear people saying Trump will bring millions of evangelicals to the polls, bc of what a sterling Christian he is. I hear this relentlessly about Cruz. I wonder how evangelicals who’ve never seen the prison-pic would react to it? Trump won’t bring it hope, but Hillary would.

The only name I hear out there is Trump.

That's changing quite quickly. Cruz is the superior conservative option, and he has the momentum now. It won't be long before he'll be the one Trump has to deal with and he won't be a pushover like Kasich or Jebbie.

Head to head, we'll find out who the better conservative really is.

Check the Trump rallies and you will see that the democraphics for Trump are far more varied than Cruz. Cruz, IMO, though a good candidate, doesn’t appeal to all the varying groups that Trump does. You also fail to understand that the American people are sick of and don’t trust “all” the politicians in DC.

the GOP nominee is going to have to be able to snag non-traditional GOP voters, in all kinds of states.

Never forget this.

You just touched on something that is a BIGGER DEAL than anyone realizes at this point.
