"Beyond Trump and Carson, both polls show Sens. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas) following in third and fourth place. In the Fox News poll, Rubio and Cruz are right on Carson's heels, at 14 percent each. But in the ABC News/Washington Post poll, the senators lag behind, with Rubio at 11 percent and Cruz at 8 percent."

The explanation, by the way, is that the Fox Poll is likely voters, but the ABC poll is registered voters. Sloppy of them not to explain this.

There have been 3 polls with likely voter screens released in the past 10 days and they're quite consistent:

                                      Trump   Carson Rubio Cruz
Fox (11/16-19)                28           18         14      14
PPP (11/16-17)                26           19        13      14
Rasmussen (11/11-12)     27           20        16      13

At this pont, numbers for all registered voters are increasingly pointless. The picture is pretty clear...it's gonna be one of these 4 dudes. And probably not Carson (I continue to believe).

Agent Kimball,

I think you are spot on the nominee will be Trump, Cruz or Rubio. I will be working hard to make sure its not Rubio. I like Trump but I would be ecstatic with Cruz.

Our challenge here at FR is for us Trump supporters and Cruz supporters to treat each other with respect. We just have to get it right this time. Both of these candidates are out there trying to save America from the Barbarians at the gate.

I take your point. We DO need to keep our eye on the fact that any of these are infinitely preferable to the alternative.

And I have been guilty - primarily because I see Cruz as a rare true conservative of the type I would have thought folks here have been longing forever.

But given Trump’s numerous apostasies, I have to tell you it’s very frustrating to hear from some of his supporters that Cruz is a problem because of ONE apostasy (H1B visas) and the fact that some don’t like his wife’s employer(!)
