Sixteen people were taken to New Orleans area hospitals with injuries after two groups opened fire on one another in in the turbulent Ninth Ward:
A dispute between two groups of people in a New Orleans park Sunday escalated into a shooting that injured at least 16 people, police said late Sunday.
The shooting took place at around 6 p.m. local time after approximately 500 people had gathered at Bunny Friend Playground in the city’s 9th Ward to film a music video, the New Orleans Police Department said in a statement. Ambulances took 10 victims to area hospitals, and police later learned that another six victims had been taken to the hospital in private vehicles.

BUT...
They will club this mass shooting in to the rest of their statistics when they need to inflate their numbers.

Sounds like a member of one social club felt disrespected by a member of a different social club so they all started shooting one another. It was the only rational outcome.

I live and work in the New Orleans area. The local news actually said this on live television. “At least there were only 16 victims.” What has our society become?

What indeed. Our oldest daughter and her husband live in Slidell and she works and goes to school in NOLa. We lived in the area most of the time between ‘69 and ‘87 with a few excursions out of the area for short periods. People who have never lived there have no idea of the difference in the culture in general there. No place like it anywhere.
