Benson is utterly despicable on Twitter. All he does 24/7 is bash Trump.

There was a 7-11 type store where the Arab owner had a party, gave out free beer.

“I’m sure when Zuckerburg announces his candidacy in the future you’ll be all excited to support him because he’s self funded!!:)”

That’s a ludicrous comparison.

You really think that donors don’t sway a candidate’s actions?

Look at Cruz, for example. We all know he is deep down conservative. But where has he been on illegal immigration this campaign? Pretty much absent. He’s been silent, except when being vague. All due do donors. what else could it be?

“Did the GOP run ads against Perot during the primaries? Was Perot the front runner at any time during that election?”

You summed up the differences perfectly!

I usually steer clear of any arguments. I’ll continue to do so. It’s a waste of time.

BS. You’re thinking years ago. A lot has changed. The electorate is awake and conservatives are out for blood.

If you are as your screen name implies, in Virginia, the state of my birth and where I grew up, then you are either in real Virginia or in the Beltway controlled region of NOVA. If the latter, then your thinking is skewed from that environment. I can’t imagine you in the real VA.

So you think the queer is talented. BS. I can state that a friend was in the Jersey City area shortly after the planes hit on 9/11 and the damn Muslims were partying according to him.

I am in the “real” part of Virginia — Hampton Roads.

Look.. I’m sure you really, truly want to believe Trump could pull off a third-party win, but you’re operating off a few premises that just aren’t in existence.

First off, the possibility Ted Cruz would hitch his wagon to a 3rd party venture that would ensure Hillary’s election is virtually nil. He’s far too patriotic for that.

Second, the Hispanic share of the vote in 2012 was 12.5% and is expected to grow to 14% in 2016. Trump polls in the 17% range of Hispanic support — an abysmal showing (though I agree with his positions on deportation and the border wall).

Third, no way is the entire conservative base going to turn out for Trump.

Much as you may wish it so... that doesn’t make it fact.

I remember Perot well. He never came close to having 60% support. There were some crazy polls, and there were some local demographics that supported him wildly, but there was never a GOP support level so high, not even near half of that.

The GOP was much more monolithic in 1992. Today their base is angry beyond anything seen before. It emerged when W went liberal and culminated in 1996 when W tried to ram through his comprehensive amnesty. He lost Congress because of that and ever since the hardcore leftwing has run the show until 2010, 2014.

As Donald Trump says, in 2012 the GOP had the White House offered on a silver platter, and the GOPe decided to install a known liar and liberal in Romney so that the crony network could continue to feed greedily at the public trough.

GOP blue collar conservatives rejected Romney knowing that the traitorous Muslim would win a 2nd term. What does that tell you? It tells you the voters HATE the GOPe. You may think the voters are stupid but the fact is that 42% of the electorate is now Independent, up from 24% in 2010. If you can’t see that writing on the wall, then you should have your head examined.

42% of the electorate are registered Independent and they are pro-Trump/Cruz because they are smart and they know liars when they see them which includes all of the democrat field, the GOPe, the national media and their local affiliates.

Perot never ever saw a revolt the size of what’s going on now. He saw only a disgruntled conservative faction that detected a liberal streak in Bush and saw that Bush was failing to carry on the Reagan Revolution.

There is simply no comparison with what’s going on today to what went on in 1992. This thread has been hijacked by subgrade thinking that somehow this could be a repeat of the Perot years. Donald Trump is completely different than Perot. If he goes 3rd party, he chooses Cruz to go with him and he takes the election by storm because there’s so much more than just the GOPe and their minions and lemmings.

Trump/Cruz are in a position to kill the republican party because they stand for nothing, they are occupied by liars and thieves, and because the electorate is awake, angry and sick of the establishment in both parties. Those loyal to the GOP would do well to take the heads of the GOPe scumbags and escort them out on a stick.

My take from the other day

It is too late for Trump to go third party, that ship sailed when he signed "the pledge". But just for grins say he goes third party then it is Jeb/Clinton/Trump no one gets 270 electoral votes and the election is decided in the GOP held House. Jeb (or Rubio) is President of the USA.

Trumps' only road to the White House is as the GOP nominee.

Trump should indeed not join in the next debate but for the second hour on his own show, answer all the questions from the first hour and then those being asked during the second hour. Then he would have the time to answer the questions.

He should do a live streaming show. Wouldn’t cost much? A town hall meeting from the heart of NYC.

You give way too much weight to Hillary. You don’t know Trump’s blue collar ruffians. Hillary’s bad guys are nothing compared to what Trump has. Get the picture?

You’re not seeing the reality because you’re living in the past.

Trump is a streetfighter from Queens. He knows what he represents now. He knows there is an unparalleled revolt in a huge swath of the electorate and he is the leader. Anyone who can’t see this is stuck on stupid. As Sarah Palin said to the GOP with respect to the election tsunami in 2014 “You didn’t build that”, and the stupid GOPe still didn’t get the message. So now Boehner is gone and the revolt continues.

If the GOP does not throw out the GOPe scumbags, the republican party is lost, Trump/Cruz win by a landslide (see #68 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3364251/posts?page=68#68), Congress gets behind Trump/Cruz because of voter backlash.

Already the media has tried to take out Trump, and before Trump they tried to take out Cruz. They had their *sses handed to them and continue to have it handed to them. Nothing will change in media outcomes if Trump/Cruz go 3rd party. This is not 1992, this is an awake electorate that is angry to the point of full-scale revolt never before seen in contemporary politics.

Wake up. The hedge funds back GOPe candidates or Hillary. If either win, they continue to profit on the NY Fed carry trade. That’s what this is all about and Trump knows it. But the HFs won’t get past the revolt. They don’t control the media game as it was played in the past.

You’re not seeing the reality because you’re living in the past.

We can introduce all the intangibles of the streetfighter from Queens (who was born to a millionaire family) or the hope that he'll pull in additional blue-collar voters we want, but that doesn't change the math of this country's electorate, which was D+6 in 2012 and with demographic shifts, going higher. It's not a matter of giving too much weight to Hillary; actually the opposite is true -- too much weight is given to the idea the dems will break from their party. They won't in large numbers at all... they will stay home and vote for her no matter what. This is not to say Trump isn't right to be incensed at the GOP-e's coordinated attempt to toss him. He has every right to pissed off... but let's do keep a realistic view on what happens if he jumps to an independent bid.

He may have been thinking of this footage showing Palestinians dancing in the streets of Gaza. Conflation is often how false memories form.

Then blame the local media in NY for running those images from Gaza while reporting on events in Jersey City, Paterson, and elsewhere. They ran those stories for several days.

Again, you’re puffing up Hillary as a scare tactic.

This is a thread about Donald Trump laying down the rules for the scumbags in the GOPe and their minions in the media.

You seem to think Donald should bow down before them. It’s not going to happen period.

You seem to think that if Donald is not submissive to the GOPe scumbags that Hillary will win. That’s Bullshit with a capital B.

Look at 2000, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014 and now the wild crowds for Trump and Cruz. If you can’t see that trend, then there’s no point talking to you. You must think that those tens of millions of Americans who form the revolt are all stupid enough to let Hillary walk into the White House. They could care less about the GOPe. They want Trump/Cruz in the White House regardless of label. Hell, Trump/Cruz could run as democrats and the outcome would be the same.

You’re missing my point, and I’m not sure why you listed 2000 as an example, since the House lost seats, the Senate fell to a 50-50 split and only the FL electoral votes saved the election for Bush — and do you not remember whose presence in that election won it for him (hint: first name was “Ralph”)?

And where are you getting the idea the “revolt” numbers in the “tens of millions?”

If you feel that recognizing the tendency of democrats since 2000 to stay home and vote for their candidate — and will have the math on their side — as “puffing up Hillary,” or some kind of expectation Trump should “bow down to the GOPe,” then I see no need to discuss this further, either.
