Back in the 90's, there was a song called "Thank You" by a Christian artist named Ray Boltz. It did very, very well on the Christian charts and became famous throughout American Christianity. It was a very touching song about a man getting recognized in Heaven for all the little things that never got noticed that he did on earth.
After the success of the song, Mr Boltz did very well for himself, recording a few other Christian hits. But then, the story takes a nasty turn.
In the late 90's or early 2000's, Mr Boltz divorced his wife and came out as a homosexual. His fans were shocked. Christian radio stations all over the country pulled all of his music from their playlists. He has since come out as a gay activist, and has taken part in the "It gets better" campaign.
in spite of all this, God has used this song mightily to remind people that even though they may not see any results from what they do here on earth, when they stand before Him in Heaven, all will be revealed and it will show them how much He appreciated it.
