The young boy asked how Trump how his life would be different if Trump became President.
Trump said his hope is that the boy’s life would be better than if anyone else was President. He wants to make America much better than ever so the boy;s life would be so good.
It was a great answer.
When you get home, listen to it. I did not do it justice.
Trump is a few years older than me. It makes us both baby boomers. ONly a handful of the candidates from either party are baby boomers.
We have some good people running, and I don’t doubt that someday one or more of them will be president, but for now I think the next president needs to be someone who:
1. Remembers exactly what they were doing when they learned Kennedy was shot.
2. Remembers watching the first man walking on the moon.
3. Remembers Viet Nam, and may have had friends who died there.
4. Remembers an America, when we left our doors unlocked, walked into town via sidewalks to watch a movie, or even remembers going to drive in movies.
5. Grew up watching black and white TV, and in fact had most of the grade school and high school photos in black and white.
6. Their Dad or Mom or Aunt or Uncle fought in world war II.
7. REmembers people like Jack Benny, Bob Hope, The Andrew Sister, Charles Lindbergh, and shows like Ozzie and Harriet, Leave It to Beaver and The Whirlybirds.
8. Watched Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays play baseball, Vince Lomgardi’s Packers and remembers when there were only 6 teams making up the NHL with stars like Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull.
I can go on and on, but something happened to us when Kennedy was shot, to us and the whole world. We lost something that we’ve never seen again, and may never see again.
I’m for Trump because he remembers these things.
