I’ve been saying they were after someone specific at that party, and just shot everyone else to cover up the motive. They passed up lots of people on the first floor, went straight to the 2nd floor conference room and opened fire. No reason to do that if they were terrorists. Look for investigation to show someone at that party was connected to organized crime, drug cartels in particular.

Exactly. If your motive is to terrorize people, you go to a shopping mall. You scream "Allahu Akbar!" shoot everyone you can and then you blow yourself up. Not this.

At this point, I'll be very surprised if one of these guys turns out to be named Farouq Saeed (or something similar).

There's a kind of suicidal desperation in this incident that I think militates against such a scenario.

They’re saying one of the suspects was at the party, angrily left and came back a few minutes later with companions in full gear.
