There are also those who believe the Psalm 83 war will precede the Ezekiel war. I may or may not agree with this, and there are many factors. However, Bill Salus made an excellent case that the immediate nations surrounding Israel would be defeated in a major war first, and this war would lead to the Ezekiel war.
This theory actually would fulfill several mysteries of Biblical prophecy. Israel will have reestablish its borders as dictated by God in Genesis (and fulfilled during the reign of King David), and Israel will be a land of un-walled cities, because all of the Muslim murdering nations will have been driven out. This would also allow Israel to rebuild the Third Temple and destroy the Muslim dome of the rock on the Temple Mount.
