Also curious is that the Jesse Jackson black leadership cabal knew about the tape, etc., and kept quiet (and in fact endorsed Rahm) expecting a kickback of some sort.

One more thing to consider is that the calls for justice in this case are coming mainly from the teachers union, trying to force him into concessions ahead of a vote to strike, which now seems a certainty. He, like Obama, is a rolling train wreck.
