My understanding is that Secret Service doesn’t do crowd control, they are there to protect the candidate. There may be different crowd control security at each event. When I think about it, that makes sense, because disrupters in a crowd could pull the Secret Service away from the protected individual and then attack him.

That’s a good point. But why in the heck was the protester allowed to continue??? Does SS coordinate with local?
