What’s wrong with acting out of a legitimate fear? I don’t stick my hand in the fire because I’m afraid I’ll get burned. I don’t play in the traffic because I’m afraid I’ll get run over. We don’t let muslims in because we’re afraid they’ll kill us. All very reasonable, rational courses of action.
Not as afraid as his dad probably is about going to the slammer.
