I'm with the next POTUS...TED CRUZ

I was supporting Cruz before Trump even got into the race, but his making it to the White House appears a bit more problematic now that he has chosen to go squishy on this Muslim immigration issue.

Trump defined this issue. ALL GOPe candidates are now unified with the 'RATS in denouncing him. Even Cruz stated "that (Trump's solution) is not my policy".

As another FReeper stated,

Trump is Patton.
Cruz is Monty.

Two fine generals to be sure, but which one would we want leading in this battle?

I wonder how many Trump supporters also like New Country music. Down with the flavor of the day.

Irrelvant and immaterial. Try again.

I wonder how many Trump supporters also like New Country music. Down with the flavor of the day.

But you know, the biggest evidence for your self delusion (and the delusion of the other pathological anti-Trump people here) here can be found in this statement.

Trump created the flavor of the day :). It's a fact. If not for Trump, Ted Cruz would have kept his position in March of this year that legalizing illegal aliens after securing the border is the best solution for immigration "reform". Now Cruz rails against amnesty and then stays mum when asked if he favors legalization any more or not. And his followers spend all day ranting that Cruz actually supports Trump's position 100 percent.

Meanwhile, the new mainstream position is Trump's.

Who can we thank for that? Donald Trump.

And who today is calling for a temporary moratorium of Muslim immigration into the country due to 25 percent of Muslims having positive things to say about ISIS? Who even made it possible to say that, instead of simply declaring a temporary ban on refugees from say Syria?

Donald Trump.

Trump is the person entirely creating the narrative every step of the way. Not Ted Cruz. Not Barack Obama. Not the GOPe.

It's Trump who is constantly moving and expanding the window of what is and isn't acceptable discourse.

All the rest of the GOP candidates just follow along for the ride, defining their positions like little planets orbiting the Donald Trump sun!

No similarity. Trump has been consistently inconsistent.

lol, but what is the "consistency" of every other GOP candidate gotten you? Did Ted Cruz support Geller and then move to ban Muslim immigration, thus accepting her premise that Islam in and of itself is the problem? Or is Ted Cruz opposing Trump's plans under the premise that we shouldn't be worrying about all Muslims, just the "radical" ones from Syria or Iraq? :)

Look at his statements. Do they sound like Cruz really agrees with Pamela Geller? lol

Look at any of the other GOP candidates. They talk the talk, but change tunes when it comes down to action.

“Trump has been consistently inconsistent. “

Is he drawing Mohamed? If he were, I’d call it inconsistent. I see no taunting of Muslimes religion from Trump, just a demand for policy changes.

Donald Trump will not do that. Trump has all those hotels in Abu Dhabi that make me not take him seriously when he poses as an anti jihadi crusader.

The premise seems to be that Trump is inconsistent.

Another premise might be that he’s been persuaded that Islam is the problem.

Doesn’t matter if he eventually gets it right, imho.

Ah thanks kindly.

Just trying to call them like I see them. We have two good men, and I think that is something to be truly thankful for.

We could have an entire crowd of duds if not for these two men.

If it weren’t for Donald, would Americans and the GOPe be having the discussions they’ve been having?

Would the true colors of Rubio and Jeb be out in the open for everyone to see?

The best thing Trump has done is drive the political class to talk about issues they’ve studiously avoided for the last 15 years.

Oddly enough, the issues Donald hits the political class with are issues that matter to Mr. and Mrs. Mainstreet, the very people the GOPe disdains.

Trump is doing all of us a huge favor by forcing these issues into the open. For that, all of us should be grateful.

“Trump doesn’t owe anyone anything” or words to that effect are a common pro-Trump cry. How many of his millions could offended Muslims nationalize away from him if they pleased? Enough to notice or even to hurt him, I don’t know.

Last line is worth mentioning. Geller says she supports Ted Cruz! As she has been ahead of nearly everyone in pointing out the dangers of Islam that is a significant supporter for Ted.

You cannot reason people out of a position they did not reason themselves into.

They will eventually rue, but also conveniently forget when confronted, their infatuation with this charlatan.

I’d be happy if Trump could effect a takeover of the GOP apparatus. All the rest would be gravy.

It's already happening.

Trump based his announcement on data from Frank Gaffney's think tank. That align's Trump with Gaffney, David Horowitz, Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, and Geert Wilders.
