What a crock of crap. The only excellence they have even tried to show is their ability to saw the heads off of innocent civilians and shackled prisoners. If they ever ran up against a REAL MILITARY unit they would be nothing but a pink mist and vaguely metallic taste/smell in the air.

They went up against Uncle Sam in Iraq and killed 5000 of our guys. They lost a good number of dead, probably 10x (maybe even 20x) our casualties, but that's without our advantages in equipment and training, both of which spring from superior funding. In situations where our guys lacked air and/or artillery support (i.e. in hit and run ambushes or surprise attacks on isolated outposts), the exchange ratios were nothing like 10-to-1. Don't mistake the shambolic Iraqi government forces for ISIS. That's like mistaking the ARVN for the VC. Our Iraqis have always been a corrupt and incompetent mess. Competence and bravery are not inconsistent with atrocity. Just ask the victims of the Wehrmacht and the IJA during WWII. ISIS are just fighters with medieval codes of conduct.

Talk’em up all you want, but put’em up against a Marine Infantry Brigade and you will need a fine mesh screen to find body parts big enough to identify.
Yeah; we lost guys in Iraq, Afghanistan, Grenada, Beirut, Viet Nam, and Korea. 80% of those losses were do more to ridiculous ROI (those rules brought to us by the State Department and civilian politicians) than the effectiveness of the enemy.
And I speak from experience slick, do you? The last real, well trained enemies the US Military faced were the Germans and Japanese. And we won both engagements hands down.
