This doesn’t smell like jihadists on the loose. It smells more like to rational fellas who don’t want to return home to the s&&&hole of Afghanistan.
I had that same feeling from the start. I’m beginning to wonder though.
The first question I have- how are they surviving? If (as is speculated) they rented a car at the airport, where is it? What id’s did they use to rent car? Where did they get the money to eat, sleep etc.? Are they sleeping in the car? Where? On the side of the road where easily spotted? At a truck stop with lots of eyes?
It’s not easy to go on the run without getting seen. Add to that, the feds have undoubtedly asked all the above questions and apparently are left with a cold trail.
It’s possible an Afghan group of some kind is sheltering them, but that’s risky for them.
Quite a mystery.
