Right? Is this like a men’s liberation movement?

As a man, I have no interest in women being drafted. My God wants me to protect women from harm.

Are they all queer?

WTF?

There is method behind this madness. The left wants women in combat and conscripted. Lefties believe that once the nation sees its women killed and maimed in battle, the nation’s will to fight will disintegrate and no one will be willing to fight if their mothers and daughters are commanded to die. It is an attempt to turn the US into a nation of brie eating surrender monkeys.

Sending a bunch of college aged air heads to face jihadis will either turn them into conservatives or war brides.

It’s calling out women for unequal treatment. Women want equality? Okay, ya got it.

These groups sue to stop ladies nights. Now they are suing so ALL women of age have to register for the draft and might get killed.

Perhaps this then will result in political fallout stopping the madness.

I think it is a generation failure, which I suppose falls on the dads. No real man -wants- to see women in combat, but these androgynous computer generation... males are like that, for the most part.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

You must be a United States Citizen.

This employer participates in the e-Verify program.

Males must be registered with the Selective Service, if applicable.

This will appear on most federal job announcements.

If SS registration is required for women between 18 and 25, those who fail to register for the draft would no longer be eligible for federal government employment.

A draft is no longer a viable option anyway.

The Senate has 30 days since the policy was announced to do something about it. John McCain heads the armed forces committee. As far as I know, they aren't planning on doing jack-squat to reverse this utter madness of putting women in combat roles.

Pray, however, that they do reverse it.

We need someone in suitable office to issue letters if exemption to every Selective Service registeree authorizing the purchase of a new select fire M4 or M25, a la the Militia Act of 1792. That would liven up the gun control narrative in our favor.

draft women....women are predominant in colleges, in med schools, in law schools, and generally in the workforce....

let men continue to relinquish their God given responsibility to be the leaders....

but gee, look what they got in return....able to sit in front of their computers and watch , and participate in porn...it seems that is what drives so many "men" these days..

For many of them, it won't. I've never been to war, but I know plenty of guys who have. As anyone who has two stale brain cells to rub together knows, combat is rough. Physically and mentally brutal and exhausting. An utterly trivial example from a guy I talked to who served in Iraq -- under some circumstances the whole platoon strips naked and gets hosed off, when the opportunity to wash presents itself. How will they handle something as simple as that if there are 3 or 4 girls in the platoon? If the gals want to be equal they should just strip and stand at ease like everyone else, but they won't, will they.

But I had the misfortune to discuss the issue with a lady the other day and of course she was sure women would handle combat just fine -- hell, BETTER than men! Her exact words -- "We don't fight with axes these days, we fight with guns. And women can shoot guns, just fine." Her last two words in the most condescending tone imaginable.

I didn't bother to relate the experience of a former co-worker of mine, an ex-Ranger, who had to kill somebody with his rifle butt.

Not to mention the women who will be raped mercilessly when captured.

We can also anticipate a number of sexual harassment and rape claims along the way.

At least their gay commander will be able to lead the troops.

I have a serious question. What is the legal basis for a draft? I know there are statutes that provide for it, but the 13 Amendment outlaws slavery, and if there is a definition of involuntary servitude, sticking a rifle in a kid's hands and telling him to run in front of machine gun fire would be it.

I'm a lawyer, but I don't know the answer to this. If there are people on here (and we have experts on everything) who can explain the legal justification for the draft, I am curious.

I'm not a subversive, but if there's no good legal basis for it, we should have what the Revolution and much of the civil war were, voluntary enlistments. Our all volunteer army currently is the best in the entire world, and if there was a national emergency, with a Congressional Declaration of War, I have no doubt that we could raise more than enough people to staff our military. So why worry about the nuances of a draft we're not currently conducting? Just get rid of the laws that authorize it.

I think it is a generation failure, which I suppose falls on the dads.

That is pure BS. Feminism is the cause of the failure. Blaming and shaming men for the rebellion of women is more feminist posturing.

Betty Freidan convinced three generations of women that they were living in a grievous state of June Cleaver security and boredom. The greatest malady was being unfulfilled from creating loving homes, raising children, and being faithful wives who submitted to their husbands who worked to support and defend the home. It was like slavery not getting to do all that the guys did, it was unfair to recognize differences in the sexes, especially in roles. Feminists set out to invade male spaces, sue men at every imagined grievance, and to destroy the family because the family was patriarchal. Still men, by and large, defended women and went to work. There they competed with the feminists who wanted the good jobs and imagined a glass ceiling that was just as difficult for men to break through. If a man won the job the boss was accused of creating a hostile environment and could be sued. Men were told to be quite they had privilege even if their careers stalled so that the gal could move up.

Family law was changed so that women can file for divorce and be rewarded with cash and prizes for breaking their marriage vows. And they do, best estimates now say that 80% of divorces are filled by the wife and the vast majority of those because she is not happy.

Women wanted to be sexually active like the most sexually active bad boy so they became sluts and whores in droves. A fornicating man had better be good at fornicating because a woman can rescind her consent the next day if he fails to please and if they had both been drinking she and she alone can claim alcohol induced consent which is date rape. Women sued to have privilege in every area they felt they were slighted. Free contraception, killing babies, divorce, quotas, title 9, rape culture, etc. Oh and they tend to vote democrat more often than men. The end of the family leads to tyranny and feminists are working for both.

It was not the fathers who failed, it was the wives. If a man disagrees with his wife she claims emotional abuse. If she strikes him and he strikes back, which one do you suppose is going to jail? Hint it isn't the woman. Of course men shouldn't strike women, but equally true is that women shouldn't strike men and yet it happens often. If a father hugs his daughter in public some woman is likely to call 911 and scream that he is molester pervert. Heck if a man opens a door for a woman, he is likely to be told what a chauvinist he is for such an act of courtesy.

I love my daughters and will leave the country with them rather than let them be drafted, but feminists has brought this on themselves and on the next generation of girls and women. If the current trend continues, men will stop getting married, stop working hard to support families, stop having children, stop protecting women and women will reap the whirlwind for allowing feminists to sow the wind.

Current abortion policies violate the Constitution too as they pertain to only women. If abortion is a right, it must be a right for all. There should be a legal remedy - a “judicial abortion” that men could utilize to exercise their constitutional right to control their own bodies and to decide for themselves when they will become fathers.
