Right, how could any discussions related to comparing the content of two bills be classified? It can’t. So what was Rubio up to with that comment?

Disclosing classified information is never smart. Even so, people who should know better occasionally let classified factoids slip—typically in the course of larger conversations. Again, not smart, but likely an inadvertent mistake.

But, having heard someone doing that, the even STUPIDER move is to immediately draw attention to the fact that they just blurted out classified information. In public. And, yeah, I’ve seen people do that before too. But never on National TV.

Someone should educate Rubio on that fine point.

Cruz ain’t Snowden. And Rubio ain’t James Jesus Angleton.

Meanwhile, Hillary is still walking around Scot-free......

Let us be reminded, several hundred of Hillarys State Dept emails were found on the Clinton Foundation server. The top secret email contents were a valuable commodity on the global market.

(Spit) another way (and there are many) the Clintons got-rich-quick.

The two practiced con artists don't give a fig about undermining US ntl security....as long as the big bucks are deposited offshore.

What was Rubio up to?
Flinging crap against the wall hoping some would stick.

He has his orders from the Rinsed Prince and was trying to get Cruz anyway he could.

He has to put on a good show so the RNC can attempt to jam him down our throats at the convention.
Or at least make the nominee name him as candidate for VP.
Remember George H W Bush?

Rubio is clearly Bill O’Reilly’s choice.

He just said that people don’t care about pinheaded explanations of the constitution, they just want to be safe.

He’s what passes for a conservative in the northeast.

I grew up in upstate NT. I know the type. O’Really is garbage to the core. So is Rubio for that matter. For sale to the highest bidder.

If we did a kickstarter with a high enough goal met to openly buy either off, they’d do it without shame.

Rubio has been endlessly lying about Cruz. This is just one more. I don’t know what Rubio’s problem is, but I have lost all respect for him over his dishonesty. What an ugly, ugly trait. Certainly it makes him unfit for the job, imo.

One word comes to mind when I think of Rubio: slick. Well...after “amnesty”, that is.

He shoots a machine-gun stream of words and finishes off with that trademark smirk of his, but he ends up appearing about as trustworthy as a car salesman in a plaid jacket.

The establishment can try to prop him up, but his desperation is showing...his time is running out.

The 20-30 would because of the limitation. That’d effectively be declassified now due to the new system, though it may not have been officially declassified.

That is an important point. Actually a couple of points.

One, was anything he said considered classified? Beats me. If anyone actually did know, they would not be allowed to say so - confirming the veracity of a leak is as bad as the leak.

Two, is Mr. Cruz in a position to know, or is he only stating opinion? Everyone is entitled to state their opinion. What you can't do is state classified as fact, coming from the source. For example, I'd bet the top speed of our attack subs is classified. I have no idea what it is, somewhere between a walking pace and a jet's speed. I'm sure if we bothered to look on the internet we could find all kinds of estimates of that number. I'd be willing to bet that over the range of numbers we could find, one of them is probably right. Well, that's classified, but the people putting that out there, probably don't know for sure, they're stating opinion, hearsay, etc. People that do actually know the number "for real" can't say.

Rubio's concern could have been valid - that they were straying into a topic he did not want to discuss or could not because he is in a position to know and thus could not speak authoritatively on the topic without revealing classified. Or he could have used it as a dodge to avoid a topic he knew he'd get hammered on. I don't know 'cause I don't know the numbers myself. As others have mentioned, I'd be surprised if it weren't 100% or very near it. If it is/was/will-be some significantly smaller number maybe that reflects some carriers not playing ball, not allowing the access to call management / billing meta data.

But....but...but, she says it's ok because the emails weren't marked as top secret no matter the content so it's ok. Yep, we're all good. SMH!

Since the Rubio team has been putting up TV ads that are misleading at best about Cruz and the NSA, I think his comments in the debate were a pre-meditated double-edged dodge. On the one hand, the classified comment got him off the hook as he was being exposed for his deceit. The comment also raised the possibility that Cruz was exposing classified information...another deceit. My conclusion is that Kid Rubio is a very slippery character!

“Classified information”? Nonsense. If Rubio wanted to go down that path, he should have mentioned Hitlery, not Cruz.

This wasn’t the first time I’ve heard this. I saw Cruz refute Rubio’s lies with the same info somewhere else on tv awhile back.
Sounds like Rubios way to weasel out.

Now,now, now, don’t be too hard on the little guy. He has gone ALL IN for the election is desperation. His constituency in Florida sees thru him like a window and he cannot get re-elected. He knows if he does not win the nomination his future will consist running a tamale wagon on a Miami street corner.

So he is going to lie, cheat, steal, cajole, flip, intimidate, deal and ally with anybody for the sole reason of getting votes. He is going to miss on his one and only shot.
