I'm 49 years old (for the time being). I grew up in the Air Force, spent 20 years in the Army (air defense, aviation (odd combination that), intelligence and special ops). Lived all over the world (actually, survived, in many cases) and I now live in Western Pennsylvania, where decades of liberal "progress" have beaten down a patriotic, industrious people and totally destroyed the economy.
I am a borderline talk junkie (I like to listen, but don't suffer from withdrawal when I don't); been listening to Jim Quinn (Quinn in the Morning, FM 104.9 Pittsburgh) for almost 10 years. To quote Jim, "The amount of poverty in any given area is inversely proportional to the number of liberal Democrats in elected positions there."
I have been a registered, but not partisan, Republican for 31 years, but a conservative all my life. (I saw how my Dad was treated when he returned from Vietnam - twice.) I think Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, et al, had it right: The Civil War was NOT about slavery. I know that the Constitution means exactly what it says, particularly the part about "shall not be infringed" (I am an Endowment Member of the NRA).
Finally, to further quote the great philosopher Jim Quinn, "Freedom is the solution to the human condition," "Government is what you do instead of common sense," and the best: "Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent."
